Before You Start
Work on a heat-safe surface
Cover your table with newspaper or a disposable tablecloth
Adult supervision is recommended when using the stove.
Step 1: Divide the Wax
Separate the wax into two portions:
2/3 for the brown espresso layer
1/3 for the cream layer
Step 2: Make the Brown (Espresso) Wax & coffee beans
Place the 2/3 wax portion into the melting pot.
Melt it using a pot of hot water on the stove (double-boiler style).
Once melted, add the brown dye chips and about 2/3 of the coffee scent. Stir well.
Carefully pour a small amount of the brown wax into 2–3 coffee bean molds to set.
Pour the remaining wax into the coupe glass until it’s about 2/3 full. Hold the wick centered until the wax begins to set.
Step 3: Let the Brown Wax Cool
Allow the brown wax to cool and partially set before adding the next layer. The surface should feel firm but still slightly warm. This helps keep the layers from mixing.
Step 4: Make the Cream Wax
Melt the remaining 1/3 wax portion using the same hot water method. Add the cream dye chips and the remaining coffee scent. Stir well. Slowly pour over the brown layer, filling the glass to the top.
Step 5: Add Wax Coffee Beans
Place the cooled wax coffee beans on top and gently press them into the wax so they stay in place.
Step 6: Let the Candle Set
Allow the candle to cool and fully harden.
This may take a few hours depending on room temperature
Do not move the candle while setting
Step 7: Trim the Wick
Once fully set, trim the wick to about ¼ inch.
Step 8: Enjoy
Light your candle and enjoy the cozy espresso-martini vibes!
